Hey there!
So before I begin I just want to say to my friends Sam and Sheyla that I got both of your letters last week and that I will mail you back by today so no worries. Thank you so much for the letters!
So last week, I went to the mission home to celebrate Christmas with my Zone! It was just so much fun! My mission president and his wife are just so amazing and just so loving! They truly made my Christmas as a missionary memorable and wonderful! I felt at home the whole time we were there; I felt like I wasn't truly away from my love ones; I felt their presence there the whole time. The Lord truly heard my prayers to not make me feel home sick during this time of the year. Being a missionary during Christmas time is the BEST! I get to celebrate Christmas one more time as a missionary before I go home! I can't wait!!!! I also got my hair cut last Monday; I took pictures so that all of you can see the new dew lol!
I read in my personal study a few days ago on the Spirit of Christmas which was in the December Ensign by President Monson. That talk is SO GOOD! It truly made me think: Do I, as a Christian and as a full time representative of Christ, ponder in my heart what the Savior means to me and do I get the true meaning of Christmas? Answer and ponder that question for yourselves! I love you all very much. Thank you for your prayers and your love; during the day I truly feel those prayers and the love you give to me. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in 2013!
With Love,
Elder Terrence M. Taylor

Hey everyone!
So before I begin I have a note for Merideth Christian & Lexi Jones: YAAAAAAYYYYY!!!!!!!!!! Congrats to both of you on your mission calls! You will do great things in your fields of labor in the months coming up! It brings my heart joy to see the work florish around the world. One more thing: I wrote everyone back home so you should all have a letter from me by now!
This week has been so amazing! Keith is doing so well and he will be ordained a Preist next Sunday! Me and Elder Kuchar took our friends Dave, our new investigator, Karen(Less Active), and Keith to the Carol Concert here in the Stake that I am serving in. It was such a great evening! Dave is progressing pretty well thus far! We taught him about the Atonement and he was just filled with the Spirit. He truly is getting an understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! We will be commiting him to baptism the next time we teach him!
I've been reading the General Conference talks in my personal study in the morning! I finished reading every single talk in Conference and now I am on the Relief Society talks. I noticed every single Conference, that President Monson always tells us to re-read and listen to the Conference talks again! I can see why; I have more of a love for the sermons given in Conference when I read or listen to them again. If you haven't read it, I exhort you to do so at this time. They are just SO GOOD!
Thank you for the prayers and the love in my behalf. I love you all very much!
Much Love,
Elder Terrence M. Taylor :)

Hey all!
KEITH GOT BAPTIZED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for him and his constant progression in the lessons we had with him! He got baptized last Friday and got confirmed on Sunday! I know that Keith will constantly progress in the Gospel and will continue to feast upon the words of Christ throughout his life!
Whilst I was sitting there at Keith's baptism, I reflected on my own baptism 3 1/2 years ago. I felt the same Spirit that I felt at my baptism at Keith's baptism. Then a thought came to me: If I wasn't introduced to the Gospel when I was in High School, I probably wouldn't be out here serving the Lord for this period of my life! If I was introduced to the Gospel, I wouldn't have met Keith and he wouldn't have been able to receive the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so blessed to have friends who weren't afraid to tell me about the Gospel of Jesus Christ restored on the earth! Because of them I am here on the Lord's errand!
For my scripture study, I have been reading in this last Ensign on General Conference. These talks are just SO AMAZING! Today I read President Ucthdorf's talk called Of Regrets and Resolutions. If you haven't read that talk, make sure you do because it is just SO POWERFUL and it truly explains how life truly is sometimes!
Thank you for the love and prayers in my behalf. Know that you have a Father in Heaven who is mindful of you at this time right now. We can come to know our Father in Heaven better on our knees (or in other words, seek Him in humble prayer).
With Love,
Elder Terrence M. Taylor

Hey there!
So I am officially in my 3rd transfer and I am not a new missionary anymore!!! It feels weird to know that I have been out here for a little over 3 months! Yesterday (Nov. 21) was transfer and guess what? I AM STILL IN WHITEFIELD!!!! YIPPEE!!!!!!! I have a new companion named Elder Kuchar from Berlin, Germany! He has been out in the field for 18 months and he is really good! So many things are happening in our area: We have a progressing investigator named Keith whose from the Whitefield area and he is dated for Nov. 30th which is SO GOOD!!!!!! He is so golden and he is keeping his commitments so far! I will keep you posted on what is going on with him. So sad thing about England is that they don't celebrate Thanksgiving!!!! The thing that makes up for it is that we have a Temple Zone Conference and during that, we will have a Multi Zone Feast which is the substitute for Thanksgiving!!! I won't write too much for today but next Monday I will. Here is my mailing address that you can mail letters to:

Terrence

Hey there!
Before I begin I just wanted to let you all know that when you send letters to the mission address, I don't get to get those letters till I have Zone Conference (which is two weeks away) so if you sent something don't think I'm ignoring you lol!
So last week was just amazing! In the EMM we had a fast, find and feast week which is so amazing! This is what happened at it:

So me and Elder Sutton went out for the 10am-12pm consecrated finding. We were walking and trying to find people to talk to and a few minutes in we didn't find anyone. Then we were walking near the fitness center we always pass and we stopped a young man named Jason. We started talking to him and he told us a little bit about himself. We asked him if he ever heard about the Church before. He said that he heard of some famous rugby players who went on missions for the Church and how big of an example they were to him. We asked him if we could share a message with him and he accepted it! He was off to catch the bus and he wanted us to come with him to the bus stop. Whilst walking, we taught him about the Restoration. When we got to the bus stop I gave him a copy of the Book of Mormon. We then set up a time to meet with him. In the midst of doing that, the bus came and that was his bus. We told him we would go on the bus with him. We got on the bus and set up the appointment. Elder Sutton got the impression to ask him to be baptized and HE ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!! We then hopped off the bus and then said a prayer with him on the spot! We then parted ways.
After that prayer, I started to shed tears of gratitude because of the miracle and the tender mercy that was bestowed upon us!
I know that the Lord is mindful of His missionaries and that this is His work. I know that He lives and that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is here on the Earth again! I say this in His name, even Jesus Christ, Amen!
Thank you for your love and your prayers for me. I love you all very much! Keep smiling!
With Love,
Elder Terrence M. Taylor

to me
Hey there!
Before I begin I just wanted to let those who have written me I will write you all today! To my friend Sheyla: I got your letter last Monday after P-Day ended so today I will be writing you back! Life as a missionary is constant go, go, go and no stop, stop, stop LOL!
So I have noticed that I haven't told you all about the culture here in England! The letters I get you all ask how the culture is over here compared to the culture in the United States. Well I will tell you! England, just like the US, is very diverse! There are people from the Middle East, The Czech Republic, Africa, China, Vietnam, you name it! The common English dish is usually roast dinner and the also a dish adapted from India which is called Curry. Mexican food in the States is like Indian food in the UK. Curry is so good and I made some a few days ago! The streets in Great Britain are so narrow and hard to get around at times. I am telling you, if you try to drive here you will be deathly afraid for your life driving. Also how they say "Thank You" in Great Britain is the word "Cheers" which sounds so cool when you say it in a British accent (Try it!). Over here they really keep an eye on the things going on in the US! They pay alot of attention also to American politics which is very interesting! Great Britain is a very interesting place!
I have been reading in the Doctrine & Covenants alot lately in my personal study! The other day I read on the Priesthood in Section 107 I believe. The last two verses were very clear and powerful! If you have time to read 100 verses, read Section 107 in D&C on the Priesthood! It made me realize how important God's Priesthood truly is and how great of a privilege it to hold it!
Well hope all is well with you all! Keep smiling and remember that I love you all!
Much Love,
Elder Terrence M. Taylor

Hello there!
Now before I begin with the miracles of the mission, I just want to thank those who wrote me. Ashley Smith, Ian Vicino, Louis Wilson, David Paxman and Rebekah Layton you are so awesome! Thank you oh so much for the letters; they really bring me happiness! I will try my best to write back to you all as soon as I have time (as a missionary, time runs so fast!).
So last Thursday we had President Patrick Kearon who is part of the Europe Area Presidency addressed the whole mission. It was such a revelatory experience for me! He talked alot about how we need to be as missionaries of the Lord. He simply said that we need to be ourselves in the work; the Lord has called us to serve Him in our field of labor to be ourselves! The Spirit woke me up to realize that I do not need to be like my trainer or anyone else in the mission; I need to be Elder Taylor and that is all that the Lord needs of me. President Kearon also emphasized how we need to choose to be happy everyday. He stated that we need to say to ourselves, "I am going to be happy today!" It was just a great awakening to me! There have been some days where I was so angry at Elder Sutton and I would lose my temper with him. I found that I didn't choose that day to be happy. Now everyday I choose to be happy no matter what the circumstance may be; no one will ruin my day or let someone ruin my day. Last week I learned alot about myself and how I should carry myself as one who is an example to others by striving to be happy and become like my Savior Jesus Christ.
I testify that Jesus Christ lives and because He lives, I have a reason to smile. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true and that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is perfect in every way. I know that when we have trials to face we can look to the Savior for guidance and at the end of that trial comes the blessings He promises us. Thank you all for your prayers and your love for me; they truly make me happy and help me press on in the work of the Lord. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
Much Love,
Elder Terrence M. Taylor

Hey there!
WOW! Such a great week here in Whitefield! First I went on my first exchange and it was very great! I've learned so much from that exchange alone. We talked to so many people and set up an appointment. The Elder I was on the exchange with was Elder Marjeanen from Finland. The next day (Saturday) we had a District Blitz which is where as a district, we were finding for 3 1/2 hours in a place called Bolton! It was so much fun! We set up so many appointments and talked to some great people and of course not so great of people. Before the Blitz while on the bus, I talked to this lady named Ann. She is a caregiver and a fellow Christian. I started a conversation with her and at the end of the convo, I asked if she wanted to read from the Book of Mormon that I had in my hand. She rejected it when I did. Then we talked a little bit and when the bus got to the bus station she asked, "Could I take a look at that book?". I could not believe it; she wanted to read from the Book of Mormon. Of course I gave her the copy I had in my hand and I bore testimony of its truthfulness.
We then got back to Whitefield that evening and we went back to work. We were talking to everyone we saw and then we ran into a man named Paul. He lived around us and he told us about his family and his struggles. We taught him a little about the Plan of Salvation. He then asked us if we could pray for his family and so we did right on the spot. We then continue to walk and we met a man named Aaron. Aaron came in contact with sister missionaries a year ago in Manchester. He then told us that he knew that we would stop and talk to him. We set up an appointment to meet with him on Tuesday. All of a sudden we see a car park in a lot and then a man comes out... IT WAS PAUL. Paul then asked us to pray for him. Me and Elder Sutton asked him if we could give him a blessing. We did and the Spirit was so strong so much that Paul was tearing up and we started to tear up. He gave us a hug and kept moving on. Last Saturday was TRULY and Day of Miracles!
I testify of the Divinity of the Savior. I know that He lives and because He lives, I feel at peace. I share this with you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Much Love,
Elder Terrence M. Taylor

Hey there!
So I just wanted to share a miracle that happened to me last night so here it goes. Me and Elder Sutton were tracting a street on Sunday. We had some really good conversations with a few people and set up an appointment which was pretty good for a tracting time. We then decided to turn around and start tracting the other side. We then got to this house and we knocked on it. A man answered the door and we greeted him, told him what we were sharing with people and then he said, "My girlfriend is a member of your Church. She is in here." He invites us in and we meet her. She was a less-active member named Carren! She shared with us that she left the Church because her parents and her son died and she is really upset with God because she won't be able to see them until the next life. She still recognizes that the Plan of Salvation is true. I shared with her about how I lost my Grandmother and how the Gospel and the Church helped me to cope with her death. Also my testimony about the Plan of Salvation. The Spirit was present in her home and in the lesson. We then left our number, said a prayer and left. Today (Monday) we received a call from Carren and she asked us to come for dinner this Sunday!!! We are so excited for that appointment with her and her boyfriend!
I testify that EXACT obedience brings forth miracles in abundance. I also testify that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. Oh how I love my Savior and His Atoning sacrifice for me and you. I say these things in His name, even Jesus Christ, Amen!
Much Love,
Elder Terrence M. Taylor

Hey there Family and Friends!
So before I begin let me just say that General Conference was SOOOOOO AMAZING!!! A temple in TUCSON, ARIZONA!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got so emotional to hear about the temple announced and I still am. Also about the age change for missionaries; ALL young men can go at 18 years old and ALL sisters can go when they are 19 YEARS OLD!!! I thank thee oh God for a Prophet in these Latter Days. God is SO GOOD!!!!
So now I am in a new area called Whitefield which is in the suburbs of Manchester! I am very sad that I have been transferred off the Isle of Man; I will miss the people on the Isle but for those who are from the Isle, I want y'all to know that I love you all so much and I will always remember you and I will come back to visit. I am still with my trainer Elder Sutton and now we are in a 4 man flat with Elder Methorst and Elder Calder. Elder Calder was in my MTC group and he is such a great missionary. I am excited to get to work here in Whitefield.
So for Rong Xin Zhou: We aren't going to be able to see him get baptized but he will be baptized on Saturday!!! He will be so great and just so strong in the Church!
I testify that this is the Lord's work and the Lord's time I am on. I know that God lives and that Jesus is the Christ. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is perfect in everyway because it was designed by Him. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is a Prophet of God. I testify of these things in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
Much Love,
Elder Terrence M. Taylor

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON 9/25/2012

Hey there!

Before I start I just wanted to give you some warning: Transfers are next week so for mailing, just use the mission address.
I can't believe its already another transfer; time just flies by you especially in the Lord's work!

So last Tuesday was my birthday! My first birthday on a mission was a little bit weird but so awesome! I want to thank first my mother for raising me and nurturing me to be the young man I am today! I want to thank my sisters and nephews for their love for me and their example to me! And last but not least the Haws family for the birthday wishes! So on my birthday me and Elder Sutton worked hard and talked to so many people and set up some really good appointments with people. Such great miracles are happening here on the Isle of Man. The Sayle Family (from the ward) threw me a birthday dinner to honor my birthday! I had the greatest time there and felt the love that they had for me and my companion. Its like I've been friends with them for long time with the Sayle's and I love them dearly. Brother Head was also there at my dinner party! He always looks out for the missionaries and I can count him as my brother in the Gospel. The whole day was perfect with miracles, friendship and BIRTHDAY CAKE!!!!

So Rong Xin Zhou is FINALLY scheduled on the 13th of October! We would baptize him this weekend but it is General Conference this weekend. Rong is just such an amazing lad who is progressing everyday and really dedicated to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I wish we could always run into a 'Rong' of our own! We keep him in our prayers always and the Lord keeps blessing him with the knowledge and understanding of the Gospel!

To those who wrote me: I promise I will write you all back when I get the chance today! Me and Elder Sutton are going across to England on the Ferry for my 5 week training that all the new missionaries go to. I am totes excited for this and really excited to see my MTC friends that are in the mission and share stories and miracles.

So I finished reading the Book of Mormon from cover to cover in the mission field. What a powerful book of scripture! If you get a chance, read in Ether 12 and Moroni 8 & 10; these scriptures are just so powerful and just gives you a reassurance of the truthfulness of this book. I testify that the Book of Mormon brings people closer to God and gives them more happiness in life. I testify that President Thomas S. Monson is the Lord's prophet on the Earth today. As we listen to a prophet's voice this weekend, we will be strengthened and well nourished for things to come. I love you all very much. Thank you for the prayers and the love that you all have shown unto me. The Lord is always mindful of you so always remember Him and what he has done for you.

With Love,

Elder Terrence M. Taylor

Hello there Family and Friends!

Last week was Zone Conference in England so me and Elder Sutton had to take the ferry to the mainland. Taking a ferry is so much fun and yet very tiring. When we got to Liverpool, we were picked up by the Zone Leaders and taken to the Liverpool Stake Center for a Zone Feast. We saw all of the missionaries from our Zone and had a great time eating and talking about miracles that have happened in our areas thus far. We then went to do some street contacting in Liverpool and it was pretty good. We then stayed the night at the Zone Leader's flat. The next morning we got up and headed to Chorley to the Multi Zone Conference. I was filled to the brim with joy, the Spirit and a fire to be a better missionary. President Preston taught about having high hopes about all aspects of missionary work whether it be with new investigators, progressing investigators, baptisms and talking to people everywhere. Another thing that I enjoyed was the 'object' lesson which was applying the Gospel to items used by everyday people. I have been using it constantly with lessons we have with members, investigators and less actives. So amazing!!!

After the Conference we received letters from family and friends. It was great receiving letters from people that I care for (all missionaries love letters lol). Me and Elder Sutton got back on the ferry the next day back to the Isle. With our progressing investigator Rong Xin Zhou we have a few things to do with him. We know that he is totally ready for Baptism but we need him to meet with the Bishop before anything happens. This week we will be really striving to get him that interview. The Lord knows his heart and will make sure that he enters into the waters of baptism ready to go. I will keep you posted.

Also to those that were wondering about where I will be next transfer I will keep you all posted with everything. Today I will be going on the ferry back to England because my trainer has a meeting with all the district leaders tomorrow. The next week is my 5 week training camp for new England Manchester missionaries so that will be fun!!! Keep smiling and keep being awesome! I love you all very much and thank you all for your prayers.

Much Love,

Elder Terrence M. Taylor

PS- To those who wrote me a letter: I will write you back today and get it in the mail on Wednesday when I am back from England.

Hello Family and Friends!

Before I begin I just wanted to thank my friend Sheyla from Montreal for the letter. It was really nice to hear from you and nice to hear that you read the blog. I will definitely write you back today!

Ok so it was such a busy week last week and this week will be even busier! We had our consecrated fast/finding days last Friday and Saturday where we were proselyting for 5 hours on Saturday and fasting on Friday. Me and Elder Sutton worked our hardest and really strived to receive some new investigators. We set a few appointments and had some great Gospel conversations with people on the street. The England Manchester Mission is DEFINITELY a "FOREVER FINDING" mission. The Lord has trust in all of His missionaries around the world to seek out the people who are prepared to receive this message. As I continue to be an excelling missionary, the Lord will bless me in all that I do in His name. It is such a blessing to be out here.

So Rong Xin Zhou (our investigator) came to church again yesterday which is so great because now he can be baptized this Saturday the 22nd of September!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!! He is just such a solid young man who will be such an amazing member and maybe someday a full time missionary for the Lord! He is a Platinum investigator who just continues to progress and continues to be obedient. I hope that his baptism goes through and that he continues to endure to the end. We are also teaching a young lady named Amaara Sharpe and she is from South Africa but has lived on the Isle of Man most of her life. She has friends who are members and they continue to invite her to things that the ward or the stake puts on for the youth. We feel that she is ready for baptism but her parents don't want her to rush into this and just give up on it part way through. We need to get her to continue to come to church, read/pray about the Book of Mormon and continue to progress towards baptism. She will definitely press forward.

This week me and Elder Sutton are going across to England for a Zone Conference; it should be really good! This is my first Zone Conference so I am very interested to know what we will be doing for it! Also as a side note: I may be transferring to another area in October. I will keep you all posted so that you can know if I will be here or in another area.

Thank you all for the prayers and your love. Know that I love you all very much. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true Church on the earth today. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is eternal and perfect in every way. As we grow closer to the time of General Conference, find ways to prepare for it. The way I would prepare for Conference is that I would fast from Facebook for the whole week before Conference (when I was home) and pray in the middle of the fast about things I wanted to improve in my life. I issue this commitment to all who will be watching Conference so that the Spirit of the Lord can work through you; prepare for Conference in your own way by fasting from something you do temporally everyday, pray and/or read past General Conference talks. I promise you that you will pick out something from a talk that you needed in your personal life. Keep smiling and continue to press forward. Cheers (that's what they say on the British Isles basically saying buh bye)!

With Love,

Elder Terrence M. Taylor

PS- I love receiving letters so if you have time (Kira Golay, Ashely Dodge & Smith, Louis Wilson, David Paxman, Bryson Lamerouex, Daniel Kendall and other friends) write me. LOL :D

Hey there Family and Friends!

Well I've been on the Isle of Man for 2 weeks now and I am getting use to its weather and the people. It has been very cold as of late and rains 3 times out of the week (different than Arizona lol). The people in the ward that I serve are just some of the best people you want to know and have solid testimonies. Like one family the Sayle's are just so amazing and just wonderful people all around. They joined the Church a year ago and before I got out here were sealed for time and for all eternity in the Preston England Temple. There is Bro. and Sis. Sayle, their children Hannah, Jenna and Tim and their dog (I will take a picture with them when I see them and have it posted on the blog). They are just the sweetest family ever and just so giving. Another member is Brother Brian Head. He is a convert of 2 years and just so solid! He is the 1st counselor in the Elders' Quroum and really helps us out when we go out teaching.

Me and Elder Sutton have been teaching a young man named Rong Xin Zhou from mainland China but going to college out here. We set up a baptismal date for the 22nd of September and he...ACCEPTED!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!! He came to church and is now dated! FIRST BAPTISM MY FIRST TRANSFER! We will still be meeting up with him to get him ready for Baptism. He is a very solid investigator and will be such a great church member. His English isn't that bad and he understands what we have been teaching him and is willing to change his ways and follow the Savior. Oh how great is my joy to be the Lord's authorized servant and be amongst His children. I will keep you all posted on Rong's progress next blog entry.

Now with the election heating up and so much change in the world, my scripture study in the Book of Mormon has been great! I've been reading/studying the War Chapters in the last part of Alma and the first few chapters in Helamen and I can see the world how it is today in these chapters. I suggest if you have time read those chapters; they are pretty powerful scriptures. I testify that God lives and that Jesus is the Christ. As we follow the example of Jesus Christ, we will always be on the strait and narrow path back to His presence. Missionary service is the BEST service you can ever do in your life. As the Lord's missionary I have seen miracles happened to me and those I come in contact with. Pray constantly and fervently so that the Lord can bless you in your temporal and spiritual life. May the Lord bless you all and keep you. This Church is the true Church of Jesus Christ and He is the chief cornerstone. I testify of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

I love you all very much. I thank you for your prayers and the prayers for all the Lord's missionaries. Also I love receiving letters from you all. It would make me very happy to receive one from you all. I promise I will write as soon as I can.

With Love,

Elder Terrence M. Taylor

Hello bloggers,

Thursday, August 30, 2012

Hey Family and Friends!

Well I am officially in the mission field! My first area of labor is..... The Isle of Man!
I couldn't believe that I was assigned to this area! We are the only missionaries on this Island and we are ready to work. My missionary trainer is Elder Sutton from Utah. He is a great young man who has been serving for about 8 months. He has already taught me so much on how to become an effective missionary of the Lord. We just got here and we are ready to go to work.

Leaving the MTC is very hard to do when you get so close to the people you are learning with, the teachers and the MTC Presidency and staff. I will always remember those whom I served with there and the people who taught us so much on how to become trusting servants of the Lord. We left the MTC at 5:15 am to head to the mission home. Before we went there, we dropped off our luggage at the Stake Center in Manchester. When we got to the mission home we were greeted by our mission president President Preston and his wife Sister Preston. The Preston's are so awesome and so warm and loving. We then did some training and ate breakfast and lunch. We were interviewed by President Preston; even though he just met me, I feel that he cares for me and he cares for every missionary in the mission. After that we went back to the Stake Center where we were greeted by missionaries that were near by and our trainers. We met all the trainers then we sat on the stand so that everyone could see us. President then assigned us to our trainers. Me and Elder Sutton had to crash in with the Zone Leaders that night due to the fact that our ferry wasn't ready until the following morning.

We then went and did some street contacting and door knocking around Liverpool. We saw some real miracles happen that day and some downs but we were successful none the less. We woke up at 6:30 am, got ready, did some scripture study and got ready to leave for the Ferry to the Isle of Man.

We then were picked up by Brother Holden who is on the Bishopric of the Douglas Ward here on the Isle. The Isle is SO BEAUTIFUL and just so green.
I know that this work is true and that our Father in Heaven loves each and everyone of His children. I am grateful to be here to serve with the people here on this Isle and I am grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Oh how I love my Savior and Redeemer. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

Much Love,

Elder Terrence M. Taylor :)

Dear Family and Friends of Elder Taylor, this blog should have posted last Tuesday.  Sorry, I am behind 1 week, moving was rough but I made it.  I will be posting from now on right after I receive one from him.  Thanks for caring.

Elder Taylor's Mom

Hello Family and Friends,

Well the days are passing by till I go straight to my mission in Manchester. The MTC here is so great and I am learning more and more each day here as I continue to be obedient and become an effective tool to the Lord so that He may use me as He wishes! What a privelege to be His missionary!

Last Sunday we went on a Church History tour so that we could see the different places where the early missionaries and Saints were in England. I took some photos so y'all can see them! It was such a spiritual height to my stay here at the MTC because it was a reassurance that the Lord is guiding this work! President and Sister Walker (MTC President) were the tour guides. At the end we went to a small river and he asked us why did we take this tour. His answer was so that will never give up in our missions. I started to tear up as he said that and right there I knew that the Lord knew I can do this and that I should know that I can do this; just trust in Him (I'm actually tearing up as I write this out lol). Know that all is well here and that I am healthy. I do miss y'all but I know that I need to be out here serving the Lord! Last Friday we did Prosleyting in Manchester!!!!! It was SOOOOOOO MUCH FUN! Me and Elder Ulloa talked to about 15 people and gave pass along cards to all of them! I was frightened but I knew that the Spirit was there with me :D.

I testify that missionary work is the Lord's work. Jesus Christ is Our Savior and Reedemer. This is his work and will for us! Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and that President Thomas S. Monson is the Lord's Prophet today. I love this Church and this Gospel and I say this in the name of Jesus Christ Amen!

Also I need addresses from these folks: Sister Cori Tagg, (Sister) Amber Allison. Those I need so I can send them a letter. Also I leave here on the 29th for the Manchester Mission and it takes 5 days to get here so by the 24th, send letters to the mission field NOT the MTC. You can find the Mission Field address on the blog OR on my Facebook. May the Lord Bless you and keep you!

With Love,

Elder Terrence M. Taylor :)

Mom put this on the blgg

Dear Mother Dear and all my friends,

So I arrived safely here to the England MTC alright! First I checked into Passport clearence then got my bags! There were 15 of us that were traveling from Atlanta to Manchester (Such a LOOOONNNGGGG FLIGHT!). Anyways when we all got our bags, we met up with other Elders and Sisters who came in an hour earlier than they did! We were all tired but super excited to be in England and traveled safely! We then went outside to the stagecoach to take us to the MTC! Once we all got on we were driving and some of us were really freaked out about driving on the other side of the road!!!!!

We finally got there to the MTC where we were greeted by our President and his wife! They are so nice and loving and then we registered/checked into the MTC and the medical system here in England (what a drag). Finally we had time to rest a little bit, get something to eat and get everything all squared away! We then met with our teachers and other staff members. My first companion, Elder Ulloa, is from Toronto, Canada and such an amazing young man. He will be going to the England Leeds Mission after the MTC which is very sad but great; he will be a great missionary.

Classes here at the MTC are very tough at times but fun at the same time! I am growing and growing each day as try my best and as I am obiedient to what the Lord wants for me and my companion. It is hard having another person there 24/7 but I am learning so much about myself that I didn't know before. The food over here is pretty good and fresh! So many different cuisines but they are all good (I do miss American food so much lol).

I want to bear my testimony that this work that I have been charged to do is the Lord's work. President Thomas S. Monson is a Prophet of God here on the Earth. God and His Son Jesus Christ live and they love all of us! I love each and everyone of you! I miss y'all like crazy but I know that I need to be out here at this time. May the Lord Bless each and every one of you and may He keep His loving arms around you.

With Love,

Elder Terrence M. Taylor

PS- I better get some letters!!! I already got one (Thanks Erin!!!) :D

Hi All,

This post is a few day's late I am posting it anyway.  Elder Taylor wrote this the night he was set apart and he wanted to share with you all.  This is a letter wrote by him and some pictures of him after the setting apart.  God Bless you all.

Hello Folks,

Tonight I was set apart as a full-time missionary in the England Manchester Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint!!!  I am so excited to officially be called Elder Taylor!  Having my Mom, my old bishop and my current bishopric made the night even better.  I will never forget this moment and I will cherish it for the rest of my life.  It didn’t hit me until I got home that I am on the Lord’s errand, His missionary and that he will take care of me.

I want to bear my testimony the God, our Heavenly Father, is mindful of us. The Church of Jesus Christ has been restored through Joseph Smith.  Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God and President Thomas Morson is the Lord’s Prophet on earth today.  The temples on the earth are sacred places where families can be together forever.  I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

May God bless you all and may the Lord surround you with His unquestionable love.

Much Love,
Elder Terrence M. Taylor

First Blog Post :)

What up Blog readers!

First off, I'd like to just say that I am grateful for you all. My love for each and everyone of you grows each day. I am grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who has guided me through life and helping me.

My heart is filled to the brim with happiness for the opportunity that I have to serve in England to bring souls unto Christ so that they may know what true joy is. About three weeks ago, I gave a talk in my ward sacrament meeting. It was about missionary service. I would like to post on what I talked about:

Before I begin, I wanted to read to you something that was said by a Prophet of God in this dispensation, President Gordon B. Hinckley and he said quote:
“It is good to look at the past to gain appreciation for the present and perspective for the future. It is good to look upon the virtues of those who have gone before, to gain strength for whatever lies ahead. It is good to reflect upon the work of those who labored so hard and gained so little in this world but out of whose dreams and early plans, so well nurtured, has come a great harvest off which we are the beneficiaries.” Close quote.
My talk is on missionary work through the ages. As we know, Adam and Eve were the first humans on Earth. They would teach their children about the goodness of God. In Moses Ch. 5 we read about Adam and Eve and their posterity. We see that Satan is persuading men to follow him. Cain, the son of Adam and Eve, rebelled against his parents, killed his brother Abel, and made a pact with Satan. He was banished from the presence of the Lord. The earth was then filled with wickedness. In Moses 5:58-59 it reads:
58 And thus the aGospel began to be bpreached, from the beginning, being declared by choly dangels sent forth from the presence of God, and by his own voice, and by the gift of the Holy Ghost.
59 And thus all things were confirmed unto aAdam, by an holy ordinance, and the Gospel preached, and a decree sent forth, that it should be in the world, until the end thereof; and thus it was. Amen.

Prophets of God through Old Testament times preached amongst the people the Gospel of Jesus Christ and of the Coming of the Messiah. We now transition into the most important part of human history: The Birth of the Savior, The Church established in the Meridian times and the gift of the atonement. We read in the Gospels of Christ (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) about the Savior’s ministry and of his beautiful acts of charity. As I read in Matt. 4:18-23, I will also have the JST read with it to have a better understanding of the scripture and it reads:
18 ¶And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were afishers.
19 And he saith unto them, I am he of whom it is written by the prophets; aFollow me, and I will make youbfishers of men.
20 And they straightway left their nets, and afollowed him.
21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, Jamesthe son of aZebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he bcalled them.
22 And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.
23 ¶And Jesus went about all aGalilee, bteaching in their synagogues, and cpreaching the gospel of the kingdom, anddhealing all manner of esickness and all manner of disease among the people which believed on his name.f

These men knew that this was the Savior of the World. These men knew they had a work to do. In Matt. 24: 9-14, the Savior tells the Apostles what will happen to them , the great Apostasy and the gospel restored in the Latter-Days. It reads:
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall akill you: and ye shall be bhated of all nations cfor my name’s sake.
10 And then shall many be aoffended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many afalse prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because ainiquity shall abound, the love of many shall waxbcold.
13 But he that shall aendure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this agospel of the bkingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the cend come.

After the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Apostles began to preach the Gospel of Christ. The Apostle Paul talked about the dispensation of the fullness of times in Ephesians 1:10 which reads:
10 That in the adispensation of the fulness of times he mightbgather together in one call things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
The Apostles were then all killed off leaving no Priesthood Authority on the Earth to guide the work. It wasn’t until the year of 1820 AD that a young boy named Joseph Smith came across a scripture in James which said: (memorize)
In the Spring of 1820 he did just that: We went into the woods alone and kneeled down into reverent prayer. He went on to say, “I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me.” “When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!”
(End of Talk)

I want to bear my testimony that this Church is the only true and living church on the Earth. This Gospel is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God and because of his faithfulness, has translated the Book of Mormon which is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. President Thomas S. Monson is a Prophet of God today. This work will go forward and will not yield to the power of the destroyer. Jesus is the Christ; He is my Savior and Redeemer of my soul. I leave this with you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

Love,

Elder Terrence M. Taylor
